On You Just Had 2 Be There

Everything from scratch.

“Crafted, clean, organic beats is everything from scratch. This is something we only heard in our heads and now it's time for the public to hear it.”

Welcome to Infinite Peace Records.

“I'm at a level where I understand to deliver a clean audio, where the instruments are not clashing within each other.”

From the mix tips

Don't let high frequencies cut your words.

A vocal from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Only what crosses the line comes down.

A de-esser is a specialized dynamic equalizer or compressor designed to attenuate harsh sibilance: the sharp high-frequency s, z, sh and ch sounds in a vocal.

  1. 1

    Targeted frequency detection

It watches one high band, typically between 4 kHz and 10 kHz, where sibilance sits.

  2. 2

    Dynamic gain reduction

Unlike a static EQ that cuts all the time and dulls the track, it only turns down when the sibilance crosses a threshold.

  3. 3

    Seamless restoration

The moment the harsh sound passes, the gain comes back, so the vocal keeps its air, detail and brightness.

“Now I'm actually learning the music artist's voice. Where does their sibilance really live? Where is the presence in this voice?”

Which de-esser do you go to on vocals?

One day at a time.

I look back at where I was a year ago compared to now. I am much more confident in my work, I am dedicated to my goals, and my main focus is impact.

Thank you to all music artists who inspire me and push me to see a different perspective. And thank you to my team. The fans. The youngings, the experts who have been doing this long before me, and my peers who surprise me daily.

The goal should just be 1% better every day.
